Dear visitor

In name of our party I warmly welcome you to the website of the VND, and I invite you to become acquainted with the Flemish-National Democrats.  You will notice that the VND holds many winning cards en is certainly worth your trust. 

Like most, if not all, persons and groups, the VND feels very strong about the democratic principles.  ‘Democracy’ is and will always be for us the highest command.

Further the VND is attached to Flemish nationalism, in intern politics (where we think there are no big problems anymore concerning this issue) as in foreign politics.  But also the not-Dutch-speaking will find the VND to be a persevering advocate of their rights, since to us Flemish-nationalism means in the first place that all citizens feel at home in Flanders.

The third basic principle of the VND is conservatism.  We don’t see any reason to change an existing situation that functions well, because change would be good in itself.  Conservatif however doesn’t mean reactionary; problems have to be solved or anticipated, and the VND will, if necessary, not hesitate to take drastic measures.

Finally I’d like to point out that the VND, more than any other party in Flanders, disposes of experience, of politicians who have proven their capability, which is not unimportant, I think, in a state that still faces many challenges.
